As the summer heat intensifies, I hope everyone has had a chance to enjoy the soothing summer breeze. Find your center. Take a moment to assess your body and simply breathe in deeply. Aligning with the flow and the natural frequencies of the earth can aid in finding tranquility in the present. This past month has been rich with lessons, and I'm now actively applying them as I move forward. I've cherished the time spent with friends and am grateful for their support. Check out their event put on last year Mural Festival — Sand Creek Regional Greenway (sandcreekgreenway.org) I enjoy being in a space where people can come together and be themselves. Connect with me to plan an outing together! Until next time, Amelia Y These days life has such a poetic meaning to me. Who would have thought 2 months could fly by in a matter of weeks! (ha!) It's been 8 weeks since my last post already! and 22 since the "New Year" Wow! Life goes fast. Finally, Spring is turning to Summer here in Colorado with less than 3 weeks away (as I write this). I’m sure you all are planning some exciting adventures? Comment and let me know what you’re up to or book a session on the main page. This year as I continue to explore my creative interests, I find so many things are interconnected. These undiscovered paths are truly just the beginning to my own self-care and transformative journey. I seek deep connections and have been re-evaluating my current relationships, therefore I’ve chosen to be in the moment more as well as put my energy into the things that make me happy. April flew by and May is over. Here’s a part of what’s keeping me busy. My time has been split. Although not primarily focused on AYPLUS Photo, I have spent time the past couple of months networking with others from my Advancing Creative Group who are all taking steps to enhance their future as entrepreneurs. The program with CBCA is a professional development course for artists to organize, plan, and sustain their creative career. View some photos my group took here. I’m an aspiring Life coach and love incorporating that in my photographs. In addition to meeting new people and forming some very beneficial connections, I am a community ambassador with a group of others who have been planning & developing physical improvements along the Sand Creek Regional Greenway. They offer many free public programs and I’ve had the freedom to take photographs of community members participating with the “Many Destinations” workshops. If you haven’t heard enough, I've also been blessed to attend and capture scenes from multiple commencement ceremonies, graduation celebrations, senior pictures, family group photos, a playdate at the park and many other special memories. This work is personal to me, and the connections are endless! By allowing me the opportunity to take photos of your life's fun times you get to literally have an experience! Make time for a great time. It's about offering the opportunity to see a place maybe you've never been before or try something that's never been done. Life is good and I want to document that for my clients. I believe everything that aligns with your visions and goals will fall into place and whatever we all dream of doing can be done! Also, it's a reason for you to get out there, get an outfit going and set the tone. Make it fun! My photography not only brings people together for a moment, but it allows the chance to capture some great memories that can be taken home and shared as a memento of our time together. I’m hoping to have a community of friendships in which we can equally thrive on one another. “Change is the only constant thing in life.” Some know the quote, so as the seasons change and we all grow older, I want to be a ray of sunshine and offer my services this summer to photograph some of YOUR life’s fun events call, text or book online to set a date! Blessings, Amilli My my time got away last month!
I hope you're out there enjoying the longer days and warmer weather. Let's face it. Life is busy and sometimes gets messy. But in March I've been practicing what I preach. Exploring my creative interests and taking some time for my own self-care. I'm blessed to do it in a way that also serves others, and let me tell ya, it's been an amazing month. So, Happy Spring and April! To the few that came out for my Launch party in February, your support is the driving force behind AY+ Photo! Not only did you encourage me to grind harder and put myself out there, but the special affirmations were super encouraging. As promised, I was to announce the drawing results. The note I blindly picked from the jar said, "you are a joyous caring soul, and we love you dearly." Shout out to Sally and Wayne for that. Thank you so very much! You two are offered a free session! Whenever, wherever you choose!! As I write this, it's 75° and I'm listening to a bird conversation. One is chirping in my back yard, and another is responding nearby. It's delightful. Paying attention to the natural world always helps me feel grounded. It's easy to worry about big things like financial harmony and small things like the baby's lost shoe, but sometimes there's nothing left to do except open the windows and enjoy the sounds of springtime. Later next week, I'll pack my car with some photography gear, my poetry and crafts along with my mama as we head outta state to good Ol' Nebraska, for a much-needed family visit with my 96-year-old grandmother! God bless her. I also look forward to my debut performance at a Lincoln Poetry Slam. I'll host a Vision board party in my hometown hoping to engage with others on a deeper level. Finally, I've scheduled a lovely engagement photoshoot in a healing garden. After all that, I'll have to make the long drive back where I have plenty of additional opportunities lined up this month. Thanks to all who continue to be involved with me, my family and career. If you're interested in booking a spring session, maternity shoot or graduation party photos, I am available, and you know how to reach me! Much love, Amelia Y Thank you to everyone who came out to show support for my professional journey as a photographer. You all make me better. I've always loved taking event pictures and this opportunity allowed me to explore my style even deeper and continue to build my portfolio. Everyone was so kind to share their name and affirmation which was entered into a drawing for a FREE PHOTO SESSION with me! I will announce the winner come March 2024! You don't have to wait long; thanks to the rare date of February 29th. I will make the most of my Leap Day by reading the encouragement provided by my friends and family. You can get out and make the most of your extra day too! I challenge you to take a photo or two! I'll share mine soon!
...The AY+ Photo shoot Launch party was rescheduled due to a massive snowstorm that hit on the morning of the event! I can believe it. I took the chance anyways, and it was a GREAT learning experience! On another note, this is the first weekend of February but boy was January busy! Both personally and professionally. I attended a "Noon Years Eve" event along with a food photography session in Lone Tree. I took a trip downtown Denver and laid eyes on a phenomenal new condo that is under construction. One River North tower has a huge crack through its center. I also spotted some beautiful houses now revealed with construction in Glendale. Stay tuned for upcoming events in February and see you all on the 24th! |
