In addition, I’m inspired to launch a photography project called “Keys to New Beginnings” where I’ll be capturing the joyful moment clients walk into their new homes for the first time. These professional photoshoots will celebrate the milestone and create lasting memories. If you’ve been following along with my photography journey, you know this year has been packed with growth, new projects, and exciting opportunities. I’ve also had the chance to work with a small group of amazing artists, learning the ropes of building my photography business and supporting each other in our creative journeys. It's been an incredible experience, and I’m thankful for the chance to grow alongside such talented individuals.
This is a monumental moment in my journey, as this is the first time I have personally been given a grant of this kind, and I wanted to take a moment to share the wonderful news with you all! Receiving this support allows me the freedom to create and expand my artistic horizons as a photographer as well as secure the necessary gear needed for my future projects. I will continue doing the work I love, capturing memories and preserving stories for others to look back on.
To those who supported me in the early stages and continue to stand by my side—THANK YOU! It has truly made all the difference.

October is proving to be full of seasonal changes! It’s essential to encourage the positive emotions as dominating forces of your mind and discourage – and eliminate – negative emotions.
Over the past month, I visited Deer Creek Canyon in Jefferson County and explored downtown Denver. I spent time with the Pronghorn in Aurora and ventured west to the Rockies. I also traveled east to the shore where 8 ft ocean waves crashed down on the beach. It's fascinating how the ocean begins to swirl in response to the movement below, only to calm and resume its rhythm moments later.
Now, back home! WE ARE JUST 2 WEEKS AWAY FROM the Boo and Brew event hosted by the Aurora Mall.

I hope you all have hit a lot of things on your summer bucket list because autumn is fast approaching! I always look forward to this time of year because you can literally feel the energy shift. I know at least for me, feels like I have more time during the day to get things done and although we will not see another sunset after 8 pm for the next 9 months, till' May 2025, there is a lot that can be accomplished in that time!
All the above events I plan on attending with or without a client appointment, therefore if you are interested in getting together for leisure, it is always an option as well.
Between the demands of life's day to day, it's easy to keep a perpetuating cycle but I personally believe in self-care and optimum wellness therefore, AY+ Photo is hosting Labor FREE day photoshoot September 2nd, 2024. Considering many may be off of work it's a good chance to freshen up your professional portfolio or simply to switch up an evening, after the 8 hours is done. The photoshoot can be at any chosen location or one I have set up. Schedule a consultation and I'd be happy to talk.

Chatfield farms and Morrison Nature center are on my list. With acres of open space and pumpkins galore, Nature provides the only backdrop I need to capture a little autumn fun.

“Day of Resilience”
Each year, The 7/20 Foundation holds an annual fundraiser surrounding the memorial that is the centerpiece to Aurora’s Water Wise Garden. The Day of Resilience is a beloved gathering that draws in over a dozen beer vendors, healing & wellness booths, food trucks, and sidewalk chalk artists, along with musical entertainment. The festivities will kick off on Saturday July 20th, 2024 with DJ Sinna-G at 7:30 AM, followed by the start of the 3rd annual "The Hero's Journey" 5k Run/Walk at 8:00 AM, which is organized by Zack Golditch, a survivor of the shooting, former NFL player, and now a firefighter in Colorado. While attendees explore our wellness booths, hear live music, and partake in beer tasting (for those over 21) from 8:00 AM to 12:00 pm our talented chalk artists will be creating stunning works of art around our beautiful memorial. Each creation will reflect the event's theme of "Reflections of Resilience" and inspire attendees to spread hope, love, and positivity in their lives and communities.
The 7/20 Foundation was created to honor the lives taken on July 20, 2012 in the Aurora Theater Shooting. After the completion of the 7/20 Memorial Reflection Garden in 2018, the organization now focuses on supporting communities across the nation who have suffered tragic events. The 7/20 Foundation is organizing the Hero's Journey 5k in partnership with Zack Golditch and the Aurora Public Schools Foundation, to raise funds for the Zack Golditch Opportunity Scholarship (ZGOS).
